- "Reparaturbonus" becomes "Geräte-Retter-Prämie" This new program starts on 12.01.2026 and, like its predecessor, aims to make repairs more attractive. However, eligible devices are restricted to household items, so e-bikes, mobile phones, luxury/wellness and certain entertainment devices are excluded from the grant. More information about the "Geräte-Retter-Prämie" can be found here
- Repair of Apple devices. I only support older devices without FaceID and basic services such as battery and rear-glass replacement. For other Apple repairs, please contact an official Apple store.

- Tips:
- For phone and tablet repairs, please provide the exact model from the device settings beforehand. This helps me find and order spare parts more easily.
- Devices with batteries should be handed in in a discharged state. This significantly simplifies the repair process.
General Information
General information about my offerings and work
- I operate this business part-time as a single person enterprise. Waiting times vary depending on workload and personal availability.
- I aim to keep repair times short, but some devices require longer diagnostics and parts procurement, especially when documentation is missing. Supply times of up to two or three weeks may occur when components are only available from Asia.
- For urgent matters (e.g. a broken washing machine), please ask in advance about current repair times so I can prioritize appropriately.

- 2000-2004: EPCOS - ceramic components (resonator design, RF measurements in the lab)
- 2004-2014: NXP - board design for lab measurements on keyless-entry chips; development of automated characterization tests.

MY SERVICES AND EXPERIENCE
Repair of electronic devices
As a technician in communication and electronics , I focus on repairing consumer electronics such as amplifiers, radios and TVs, but also computers, phones, power supplies and chargers. Using test equipment I diagnose faults, identify defective components, replace them and restore device functionality.
If repair is possible, you get your device back and can continue using it — saving money and environmental resources.
PCB Hardware Design
From concept to finished design. After the initial idea I create a schematic and select suitable components. Using schematic and PCB layout tools, manufacturing data is generated. The board can be ordered online, assembled after component delivery and put into operation.
The finished hardware design is then tested electrically and functionally and, if necessary, further programmed.
Computer and Software
I have been passionate about Linux for many years and continuously expanded my knowledge. I have experience building data servers with APACHE, SAMBA, FTP, MAIL for home and small office use. I also have experience in Windows installations, optimization, backup and recovery.
My preferred distribution is Gentoo, but Debian and Ubuntu are my favorites for server deployments as Windows alternatives.
Mechanical Design
PCBs and electronics alone are not enough. A suitable enclosure, controls and other mechanical parts are required. Using 3D CAD software with a 3D printer, required mechanical parts can be designed and commissioned.
For new designs or repairs I can provide mechanical components in addition to the electronic parts.

On the last Friday of every month the repair session takes place in St. Oswald bei Plankenwarth from 12:00 to 16:00.
